Most people don’t know that they’re dating someone who’s bad for them until it’s too late.
But one man claims to have come up with a way to avoid unnecessary drama and heartbreak – well, at least for his fellow bros.
Marwan Alteir, also known as Rocky, has created a "survival guide" for men to help them spot the warning signs that their girl is trouble.
The 26-year-old shared his guide on Twitter on Tuesday, where it quickly went viral, amassing over 228,000 likes and 84,000 retweets.
He wrote: "Tired of chasing the wrong girl? Just found out your girl is psycho? Want to know the signs before making that investment? My book ‘Nails At First Sight’ will help you."
Alongside this, he posted a video, sharing the things men should look out for – and he claims it’s all to do with a woman’s nails.
In the video, Marwan flips through a six-page document, which features different types of manicures. He analyses what the different colours, shapes and lengths say about a girl.
It features commentary such as: "The most crucial thing a bro can understand is colour, colour, colour.
"Right here we’re gonna have the nude colour shades, I call these the safe colour shades, guaranteed to be safe – you can sleep with two eyes closed, you don’t have to hold your balls when you’re sleeping and you might even expect breakfast in the morning."
He goes on to claim that bright colours of the rainbow are "danger colours", highlighting that yellow is the worst of all.
"Stay away from yellow, most importantly, if she has the courage to get yellow nails, she has the courage to chop off your balls."
He then advisees men stay away from women with mountain peak, stiletto and arrow head shaped nails, as they are "weapons of mass destruction".
Speaking to Buzzfeed News, Marwan said: "I created this research to protect my bros around the world. They need to know what they’re getting into.
"I actually started the guide back in 2018 around summertime. I knew exactly what I wanted to do and how wanted to present it but getting the data was the hardest part.
"Research was conducted with 20 male friends and 10 male strangers. I showed each of them diagrams and images. If more than one guy said the same thing about a particular nail, it would go on the book."
People on Twitter are loving his post, with many men thanking him for sharing it.
One person said: "Nailed it! Pun extremely intended."
Another commented: "This is the funniest and most accurate informative video ever."
And even women can see the funny side, with dozens sending him photos of their own nails to analyse.
But one person was less than impressed with the whole thing.
Marwan added: "I had a girl DM me that she hates me because I cracked the code and let out the secrets.
"She said she was going to find where I live and burn the book."
