This is bad news for me, because there weren’t a whole lot of things I enjoyed about Suicide Squad other than Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and Viola Davis because she’s Viola Davis. As of right now there’s still no word as to whether or not Margot will be returning for her role as the Joker’s equally insane girlfriend but I’m thinking without Will or Margot the real Suicide Squad will be the people behind the film because this shit’s going to tank and probably be even worse than the first one.

Variety reports that Will was never 100% on board in the first place so this isn’t necessarily a pearl clutching surprise for them, although everyone else is probably doing a slow wall slide knowing that this movie will go on without one of its original cast members. In all honesty nobody from the original cast has been secured yet so that wall slide may have to continue with an angry thrash and yell session on the floor as well.

Though the studio has never confirmed who would be returning for “The Suicide Squad,” insiders say the studio has always wanted its biggest stars like Smith and Margot Robbie, who played Harley Quinn in the first pic, to return while figuring out other casting decisions along the way.

The studio and reps for Will Smith could not be reached for comment.

The reason Will won’t be around for the sequel is because he’s busy with the third Bad Boys movie with Martin Lawrence. But there’s still time for Margot to be added to the roster for the Suicide Squad sequel however if anyone wants to see her impersonation as one of the sexiest Juggalos ever to hit the asylum she’s currently slathered in the Harley Quinn clown make-up while filming the upcoming Birds of Prey feature. They better start looking for replacements for Will and, if it doesn’t work out, Margot as well. If they wait too long they won’t have to worry about their slated theatrical release in 2021 because this movie’s new title will be Suicide Squad: Straight 2 DVD (Sorry Y’all).
