I’m A Celeb: Tess Daly shares excitement as Vernon makes final
Tess Daly, 51, couldn’t have been prouder of her other half Vernon Kay, 46, after he reached the final three on this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. However, the Strictly Come Dancing presenter has since admitted she did find it odd when she heard Vernon mentioning her and their two daughters, Phoebe and Amber, while he was in the castle.
Tess also explained ahead of tonight’s episode of I’m a Celebrity… A Castle Story that she was losing sleep when Vernon was on the ITV show.
When quizzed on whether it was weird to hear the former Family Fortunes host talking about her on TV, she said: “Yes, it was!
“I’d been barely sleeping because I was so into it, I woke up dreaming that I was doing trials.
“I’ve laughed, cried and heaved with them.”

Addressing the programme’s terrifying Bushtucker Trials, Tess continued: “Hooves and giblets dropped on your head?
“How could you cope? And all those creepy-crawlies, I’m just so squeamish.
“I wouldn’t last two minutes. Hats off to them,” she added, praising Vernon and his campmates.
Tess went on to reveal she “got stressed” when she saw the campmates having to survive on minimal portions of rice and beans.
She admitted: “We loved seeing him comforting his campmates, being a great mate to them all.
“He’s a big softie with a big heart.”
Tess added to Metro.co.uk: “That said, I got stressed when they didn’t eat because I’m a feeder and happiest when I’m feeding a big roast dinner to family or friends.
“I’d been saying to (our daughter) Phoebe, ‘I’m sure your dad’s lost weight’.

It comes after Vernon addressed his weight loss ahead of an appearance on This Morning last week.
He tweeted: “I’m on @thismorning This Morning!!
“B****y shattered, didn’t think it would take this long to feel some sense of normal!!”
Addressing his weight loss, he explained: “Total exhaustion from minimal calories for three weeks!”
“Sir Lanky-Lot May be ‘stick’-ing around,” he jokingly added in reference to his alter ego for this year’s Celebrity Cyclone.
The former Family Fortunes host finished in third place on I’m A Celebrity, behind Giovanna Fletcher who was crowned Queen of the Castle and runner-up Jordan North.
When he reunited with his wife Tess, she was keen to “feed him up” following his lack of food in camp.
“Chicken soup at bedtime… feeding him up,” she wrote, alongside a picture of the dish on Instagram.
