Soulja Boy has been sentenced to 240 days in jail and 265 days of community service for violating his probation.

The judge gave him 40 days credit on the sentence for having been locked up the last 20 days. The judge also reinstated Soulja Boy’s 265 days of community service.

“My client is very thankful to the judge that he only received 240 days, because the judge initially was going to sentence him to two years. Once he is released, he is committed to comply with all orders of the court and probation department,” Soulja Boy’s lawyer, Fred Minassian, relayed in a written statement to Billboard.

According to Billboard, Soulja was arrested in April for failing to comply with his community service demands.

Authorities said the 28-year-old attempted to forge paperwork to show community service hours that he didn’t actually fulfill in reality.
