Hours after SAG-AFTRA pulled back the curtain on its awards nominations, now it has a host. Megan Mullally will emcee the 25th annual trophy show in West Hollywood next month.
Kristen Bell led the 2018 SAG Awards, breaking a long-standing custom of not assigning a host for the show.
Mullally is back to playing Karen Walker on Will & Grace, the Emmy-winning 1998-2006 comedy that NBC revived last season. She also recurs as the voice of Gayle on Fox’s Bob Burgers and appear in recent films The Disaster Artist, Oh Lucy! and Why Him? Other credits include Childrens Hospital, Parks and Recreation and You, Me and the Apocalypse.
“As a frustrated casting director and full-on fangirl of great actors everywhere, I’m over the moon to be a part of the SAG Awards 25th Anniversary,” Mullally said.
The silver-anniversary SAG Awards is set for January 27 at the Pacific Design Center. The show will air live on TNT and TBS starting at 8 p.m. ET.
