During her appearance at JAM’N 94.5’s Summer Jam concert, Megan looks genuinely surprised after being told about the criticism against her ‘Hot Girl Summer’ collaborator.
AceShowbiz –Megan Thee Stallion is letting everyone know that Nicki Minaj gets her back amid claims that she can’t twerk. After Megan dropped her latest music video for “Hot Girl Summer” featuring Nicki and Ty Dolla $ign, people ridiculed Nicki as she was seen struggling while twerking with Megan on pool beds.
While the “Big Ole Freak” rapper unsurprisingly did the dance flawlessly, her collaborator appeared to be having a hard time doing the dance. “Nicki trying to twerk on the chair has me dead. Instead of her a** to shake, it was the chair that was shaking,” one fan clowned the “MEGATRON” raptress. Another fan added, “Look how hard Nicki chair moving. Sis was really trying hard ! I wouldn’t even try to twerk a damn hair next to Meg.”
During her appearance at JAM’N 94.5’s Summer Jam concert, Megan looked genuinely surprised after being told about the criticism. “Friend, I don’t be looking at the bad stuff,” she told radio host Ashlee.
The host later said that she wouldn’t mind having derriere like Nicki’s, though she could understand that anyone could never beat Megan. That prompted Megan to chime in, “Well, fortunately, she’s an amazing lyricist so her twerking doesn’t have nothing to do with her music.”
Megan also talked about Nicki’s abrupt retirement. “Were you shocked when you saw the tweet? Or did you kind of know?” Ashlee asked, to which Megan said, “I don’t believe her. I think she is just talking right now.”
Megan wasn’t the only celebrity who couldn’t believe that Nicki announced her retirement from music industry this soon. In a now-deleted Instagram post, 50 Cent called both Nicki and her fiance Kenneth Petty “crazy” before adding, “But you know you gotta love it SOUTH SIDE.” He then admitted he’s not ready to see the female emcee hanging up the mic as saying, “I don’t want @nickiminaj to retire just take a break.”
Following a series of heartbreaking messages from fans demanding her to address her retirement further, Nicki assured them in a separate tweet, “I’m still right here. Still madly in love with you guys & you know that.” The “Anaconda” hitmaker also promised to address it on her “Queen Radio” show, adding, “In hindsight, this should’ve been a Queen Radio discussion & it will be. I promise u guys will be happy. No guests, just us talking about everything. The tweet was abrupt & insensitive, I apologize, babe.”
