Jussie Smollett is moving on with his life after being the victim of an alleged hate crime late last month. But in his first tell-all interview since the attack, the Empire star breaks down in tears recalling the dreadful events.
In a Good Morning America teaser, host Robin Roberts is seen asking the actor, “What happened that night?” Hearing the question, Smollett, 36, shuts his eyes and begins sobbing, struggling to relive the incident.
“At any point during the attack did you fear for your life?” Roberts asks as Smollett continues sobbing uncontrollably.

RadarOnline.com readers know Smollett was hospitalized on January 29 after two men wearing ski masks allegedly beat him on a Chicago street, tied a noose around his neck and poured an unknown chemical on him.
Though police have yet to identify the suspects, they believe the attack was triggered by homophobia and racism, as the actor is openly gay.
Days after the alleged hate crime, Smollett took the stage to perform his music.
