Green Day has announced a special vinyl reissue of their fourth studio album, Insomniac, in celebration of its 25th anniversary, which will feature bonus live tracks.

Insomniac, which featured songs like “Brain Stew,” “Jaded” and “Walking Contradiction,” reached its 25th anniversary on Saturday, October 10. The 1995-album, a follow-up to the band’s breakthrough album Dookie, peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The punk band also shared previously unseen footage from the European leg of their world tour supporting the album.

“It’s the ‘Insomniac’ 25th Anniversary!! We wanted to do something special, so here is the biggest glimpse ever into the Insomniac era tours from 1995-96,” the band said.

They added, “Never before seen footage from Europe 95 tour and Live concert in Prague shot on 16mm film in Europe 1996 with the fateful last shows on tour before returning home to go back into the studio for Nimrod album sessions. Enjoy! Time to celebrate Insomniac 25th and bust out the champagne and caviar.”

Meanwhile, the vinyl reissue edition won’t ship until early 2021 due to coronavirus-enforced production delays.
