Kendall Jenner‘s big reveal about suffering from acne has caused a Twitter meltdown.

Fans slammed her on social media Sunday, January 6 for her announcement about a partnership with Proactiv after teasing a big personal confession.

Momager Kris Jenner had gone on Instagram to build up followers’ expectations.

“I’m so proud of my darling @KendallJenner for being so brave and vulnerable,” she gushed the day prior. “Seeing you share your most raw story in order to make a positive impact for so many people and help foster a positive dialogue is a testament to the incredible woman you’ve become. Make sure to watch Kendall’s Twitter on Sunday night to find out what I’m talking about and be prepared to be moved.”

However, fans were moved to hysterics and not sympathy for Kendall, who ended up plugging a skincare sponsorship.

“I remember last year I was at an award show, I’d never been before…I went through the night, felt great. Then I remember going online and seeing all the horrible things people were saying about me and my skin,” Kendall whined in the new ad.

“If you have acne there’s a feeling that you’ll never get out of it, but there definitely is an end. And there definitely is a solution for you. For me, I can honestly say that the magic was Proactive. It’s a huge deal that I’m partnering with Proactive and I’m hoping that I can help people and show people that this is the way that I got clear. And that hopefully this is the way you can get clear.”

Her fans were less than impressed after the acne admission.

“Kendall has acne, that’s the announcement? Yikes,” one fan tweeted.

Another wrote: “Can’t believe Kendall Jenner’s big announcement was about her acne, I’m gonna scream.”

“Wow I had hoped I was wrong and it wasn’t about hawking products!” said a third.

Kendall has not yet responded to the epic backlash.
