While social media audiences might better know her as @golden_barbie, to simply call Jasmine Sanders an Instagram-famous model would be an injustice. Not only is she a muse to legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath, but Sanders will get a starring role in Sports Illustrated’s infamous swimsuit issue this coming year. Oh, and she also has over three million dedicated Instagram followers. In this episode of Go To Bed With Me, the model walks us through her nighttime skincare routine and how she keeps her skin looking filtered 24/7.
Of all the beauty commandments, wiping off your makeup before going to bed is one of the most important. Sanders does this with the Neutrogena makeup wipes, which she says are handy everywhere she goes. From on-the-go in her fanny pack or when she’s in her car (never while driving, of course), she can pretty much take the wipes anywhere she travels.
Next, she cleanses with her Clarisonic. After pumping one to two dots of Cetaphil cleanser onto the brush, she scrubs her face in circular motions, making sure to never rub or tug at the skin. “I try to use it two to three times a week, especially when I’m working because you get so much built up makeup and you don’t see it,” she says.
Sanders then moves on to double-moisturizing. (“You can never moisturize too much it, she says). She first uses the Dior Hydra Life Sorbet Crème, taking whatever amount is on the top seal to spread across her face.”A little goes a long way, ” she says. “They’re not cheap ladies.” She moves on to the Dior Prestige La Lotion Essence de Rose and also spreads “some love” to her ears, her neck, and her hands.
From face masks to pore strips, she’ll try anything and everything to pamper her skin. “I just really like taking care of myself when I’m at home doing nothing and being lazy,” she says.
