Has Prince Harry’s popularity dropped since he married Meghan Markle? That’s what Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage believes, anyway. Farage is criticizing Harry and the way his views and behavior have changed since marrying Markle.

Farage attacks royal family in speech

Farage didn’t hold back on his views about Prince Harry and Markle, taking aim during a speech, given at Sydney’s Conservative Political Action Conference, at the couple’s social justice and environmental campaigns, calling them “irrelevant.”

According to a report from The Guardian, Farage’s speech “ranged across his views on Brexit, media bias and the United Nations, but he reserved his fiercest condemnation for members of the royal family, including princes Charles and Harry, and the Queen Mother.”

Farage criticized Prince Charles

No royal was safe from Farage’s critical views, as he first noted of the Queen that she’s “an amazing, awe-inspiring woman, we’re bloody lucky to have her.” The niceties ended there, however.

He continued: “When it comes to her son, when it comes to Charlie Boy and climate change, oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Her mother, Her Royal Highness the Queen’s mother was a slightly overweight, chain-smoking gin drinker who lived to 101 years old. All I can say is Charlie Boy is now in his 70s… may the Queen live a very, very long time.”

He believes Prince Harry has ‘fallen off a cliff’

Farage didn’t stop there, discussing Prince Harry’s recent comment about how he and Markle plan to only have two children.

He explained: “Well, if I want the Queen to live a long timeto stop Charlie Boy becoming king, I want Charlie Boy to live even longer andWilliam to live forever to stop Harry becoming king.”

Farage continued, sharing how much Harry has changed as timehas gone on, noting: “Terrifying! Here was Harry, here he was this young, brave, boisterous, all male, getting into trouble, turning up at stag partiesinappropriately dressed, drinking too much and causing all sorts of mayhem. Andthen, a brave British officer who did his bit in Afghanistan. He was the mostpopular royal of a younger generation that we’ve seen for 100 years.”

Harry’s popularity, Farage believes, has dipped, as he claimed: “And then he met Meghan Markle, and it’s fallen off a cliff. We’ve been told in the last week that Meghan and Harry will only have two children… and we’re all completely ignoring, the real problem the Earth faces, and that is the fact the population of the globe is exploding but no one dares talk about it, no one dares deal with it, and whether Prince Harry has two kids is irrelevant given there are now 2.6 billion Chinese and Indians on this Earth.”

The Sussexes are pretty popular

Farage’s opinion about the Sussexes’ popularity doesn’t hold much weight given their massive social media following. Prince Harry and Markle highlight a group of charities each month, using their fanbase to do some good in the world.

In August, they called upon their followers to help them out, noting: “We want to know who YOUR Force for Change is,” adding, “the organisation doing amazing work that we should all be following, an account that inspires you to be and do better.”
