The day Robbo (Jake Ryan) and Jasmine (Sam Frost) have been waiting for is finally here, and Jasmine is full of nerves as she prepares for the wedding. On her morning run, she bumps into Robbo, and becomes paranoid – believing it’s bad luck to see the groom before the wedding. However, Willow (Sarah Roberts) and Irene (Lynne McGranger) convince her it’s just silly superstition, so she starts to get ready.
While Robbo is waiting for Jasmine at the church, Lance (Angus McLaren) gets a phone call. His colleague says he’ll want to pick up, and Lance excuses himself, saying it’s work. When he returns, he tells Robbo that his parents are having car trouble and won’t make it in time for the ceremony. Robbo thinks about delaying the ceremony, but Lance says his parents want them to go ahead – they’ll meet them at the reception.
The ceremony proceeds as planned and Jasmine and Robbo become husband and wife. At the reception, Jasmine admits she was wrong to be worried, as the day couldn’t have been any better. Lance receives another phone call, and it’s clear it’s not good news. However, he refuses to let this ruin his friend’s big day, choosing to keep him in the dark instead.
Seeing Robbo and Jasmine blissfully happy and unaware makes Lance feel guilty for keeping his secret from them. He then receives another phone call, where he’s told he can’t delay any longer. Lance prepares to tell them what’s going on, but before he can get the words out a fleet of Australian Federal Police officers arrive outside the Surf Club.
Swarming into the building, Robbo is quickly filled in on the situation and tells Jasmine they need to leave. But Jasmine has no idea what’s happening and refuses. The entire reception is quickly swept up in chaos, as the guests are left reeling by the police taking over. Jasmine has no choice but to go with the police, and is led out of her own wedding…
