GEORGE Clooney has defended his pal Meghan Markle saying she ‘hasn’t done anything’ wrong, while blasting treatment of her as ‘unfair’.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain with Kate Garraway, the 57-year-old praised Meghan as “kind and smart”.

The Hollywood star has defended Meghan in the past, and he rushed to her aid yet again while on the talk show this morning.

Speaking from Edinburgh, he said: “I think it’s a little unfair at times.

“I’ve seen it when the press can turn on you for sort of, ridiculous reasons, for almost nothing.”

The dad-of-two added: “She’s a really kind and smart, intelligent woman.

“And they’re a really wonderful, loving couple.”

The Duchess of Sussex, who is expecting her first child with Prince Harry next month, is firm friends with the Hollywood power couple, George and Amal Clooney.

They attended the royal wedding last May, and mum of-twins Amal was at Meghan’s star-studded baby shower in New York, reportedly flying pregnant Meghan back to the UK on a private jet.

George continued to praise Meghan, 37, who is often the subject of vicious trolls online, which prompted Kensington Palace to issue guidelines for social media.

The Oceans Eleven star said: “It seemed to me a little unjust, she hadn’t done anything except just happen to live her life.

“Most of it you can shrug off and not pay attention to but sometimes it’s unkind.”

Meghan, who is not expected to be seen in public until the arrival of Baby Sussex next month, is said to have been busy preparing Frogmore Cottage for the new arrival while balancing royal duties.

In more Meghan news, it’s been claimed she’s ‘miserable’ and makes Prince Harry feel ‘guilty’.

And it’s thought the Duchess won’t be seen in public again until she’s given birth to Baby Sussex.
